Owing to the graphic and explicit sexual nature of some of the material in this story, the book is inappropriate for those 17 years of age and under. Although parts of the book deal with fantasies entertained by many adults in their private thoughts—and in that sense are not gratuitous—some of those adults may nevertheless be offended at such fantasies being discussed openly in print. This book is not for those people.
     Apart from the imagined science-fiction aspect of the writing, many of the fantasies and their extrapolations are based on actual historical events and well known literary premises. Popular contemporary movies deal increasingly with such themes and often in a manner no less explicit than that used in this book. For those interested, the book’s story discusses historic parallels, relevant literary premises, and movies with related themes.
